Two perpetual SolidWorks licences (Premium & Professional → see software comparison here) have been purchased and installed on Amazon WorkSpaces.
Only one user can use either license at a time. Please book your time on SolidWorks calendars (see below).
Amazon Workspaces
Users will need to install Amazon Workspaces to access SolidWorks.
Follow the instructions to install Amazon WorkSpaces on your computer.
Synching Data & Resources
In order to sync data and resources between both environments, the account cad@earthscope.org has been created as a Google account. This “user” has its own Dropbox account so that designs are is synched between the 2 licences. Users can switch between licences without losing their work. Bookmarks in Chrome also are synched (see Bookmarks section).
DO NOT LOG OUT FROM EITHER THE GOOGLE ACCOUNT. If you you need to log back on this account, the password if the same as the one to log into AWS.
If you need to send an email to yourself it will come from cad@earthscope.org.
Users need to create a directory in the Google Drive/MyDrive/Users Folder (Family name). A shortcut to the Users folder is living on the Desktop for quick access.
Calendars
Subscribe to both calendars to book your time on either licences.
