    Form V1.0

    STATION CODE:
    TA.J14K

    STATION Locale Description:
    Nanvaranak Lake, AK

    STATION SERVICE LOG DATE:
    20200715

    STATION/SENSOR DOWN TIME (UTC):

Station BGAN comms were sporadic from mid April to mid June, the offline fully since mid June, 2020.

Station powered down for about 5 minutes ~1825 UTC

    SERVICE DESCRIPTION:

Revive station BGAN comms with cable swap and terminal APN change

    UPON ARRIVAL:

Station in good condition. Conduit pulled off LB on hut side, no damage to sensor cable.

BGAN stuck on C2C APN with Regional Beam. When connected on Narrow Beam, signal strength only 60-61.

    ACTIONS TAKEN:

BGAN terminal APN settings updated to new "ds1" APN for Galaxy 1 changeover.

BGAN antenna cable swapped. Improved signal strength on Narrow Beam to 67-68.

There was an issue where the connection dropped from Narrow to Regional after about a minute. However, after a SIM unseat/reseat, the terminal began to act normally and stuck on the Narrow Beam. We considered a terminal swap, but the return to normal for 15 minutes and lack of other red flags convinced us to leave it.

    Baler media swap.

Soil temperature sensor cables were chomped off, so data loggers removed permanently. Data to be uploaded in Anchorage.
