B18K (AEC-AON)

B18K (AEC-AON)

Station Notes

  • ADOPTED BY AEC
  • Bear damage noted during 2018 service visit
    • On next visit:
      • Replace sensor cable
      • Use a longer length of liquidtight conduit so it can exit the hut at a better angle and be fully buried under grade. Secure the new conduit to the hut wall with one of the wind turbine u-bolts
  • Unofficially the last site installed for the TA!
  • Refer to Install report for location of soil temp sensor, it's not near the hut.
  • Potential noise sources: wind
  • Comms on Asia-Pacific BGAN satellite
